Mental Fitness Challenge

Have you ever asked yourself why so many people quit diets?  Why do people quit the gym? Is it because their bodies are telling them to quit?  According to Orrin Woodward & Claude Hamilton it’s mind over body.  Because when it comes down to it, the mind does control the body in all areas of our life.  So therefore, it’s not our body that is telling us to quit, it is our mind.  And in today’s society we have developed a “quitting is ok” type of mentality.  That my friends is not the right track to be on!

Over the past couple days in Columbus, Ohio, the LIFE business held its Spring Leadership Convention.  They have launched what they call their “flagship product”..the Mental Fitness Challenge.  What the speakers explained is that people quit things and don’t achieve success simply because they aren’t mentally strong or don’t have what is called mental toughness.

Well, finally, there is something out there to train your brain for success and “live the LIFE you’ve always wanted“.  Watch this MFC (Mental Fitness Challenge) introductory video here;

The Power of Association

Hi everyone,

I have been guilty of being lazy when it comes to blogging.  Seems like playing with my infant son Kaleb always takes priority of my extra time…”play with Kaleb”…or…”write a blog article”…so right now he is sleeping and I’m hoping I can finish this article before he wakes up.

I want to discuss a topic that has been very impactful in my life which is The Power of Association.  My best friend and mentor Claude Hamilton had mentioned early on in our business journey together that “you become who you hang around with”.  And this is very true.  Take your top 5 friends and add up their income and divide it by 5 and it will be very close to what your income is.  You become who you hang around with!  I remember my mother not wanting me to “hang out” with little Johnny after school…because little Johnny was a rebel and broke the rules, therefore I would’ve probably turned into a delinquent myself.

With all kidding aside, we can’t deny the fact that this is very accurate.  If you want to change your results you have to change your entourage.  For me personally (in my late twenties) it was hard to do because that meant changing my routine and changing my habits that I had formed.  But today, I am very thankful I did.  Please understand me when I say “change your entourage”…I am not saying to ditch all your friends cold turkey style and tell them they aren’t part of your success journey because they are not winners in life.  Easy now, easy big fella!  All I’m saying is ask yourself where do I want to be in 5-10 years?  And look around and see who has similar results.  Who has the fruit on the tree that you are looking for?  And chase them down.  I saw Claude & Lana Hamilton’s lifestyle of having a great relationship, having way more free time to themselves compared to most people, no financial stress and I wanted to have that in my life!

For most of you, I am sure you’ve already made similar tough decisions like this throughout your life without even realizing it.  And you made these decisions to match your final destination, or your goal.  For example, when I was in junior high, I played a lot of hockey and one of my best friends at the time didn’t make the team and slowly he started changing his interests.  Instead of sports, he started being interested in music.  At that age I was in love with hockey and my goal in life was to make the NHL (every Canadian kid’s dream) so I had to make a tough decision.  I slowly started changing my association and “hanging out” with boys on my hockey team because we had similar goals & dreams.  Another example was in high school.  I had one friend who was the video game junkie.  We played video games together all the time, but at one point (grade 11 to be precise) I started being interested in girls.  So, I had to make a decision: “hang out” with video game junkie friend and have no girlfriend…OR…start changing my entourage of friends and eventually get a girlfriend.  It’s scary to say that if I hadn’t changed my association, maybe I’d be still in my parents basement playing video games at 35 years old..LOL!!

So as you see, the power of association does have an impact in everyone’s lives.  I suggest you be careful with who you hang around with, because you might end up with their results.

Today I want to finish by recognizing some of my friends who have recently made a change in their lives and starting chasing their personal dreams.  Orrin Woodward and Claude Hamilton recently ran a promotion called Operation Advance and invited any qualifiers down to Orrin & Laurie’s Florida residence for the weekend.  These qualifiers had some tough choices to make over the past 6-12 months of their lives and slowly started changing their entourage.  They believe in the power of association!  Cynthia & I want to personally congratulate the following qualifiers for their hunger and determination to fight till the end.  Denis & Lisa, Mike & Sonia, Charles & Manon, Jeff & Kim, Pierre & Lise, Andre & Dominique, Paul & Lisa, Troy & Bonnie, Matt & Melissa, Nick & Jessica, Trent & Ann, Jeff & Detry, JL & Nicole, Scott & Andrea and Josh & Ellen.  All of us had a blast down in Florida, of course you get a bunch of leaders and strong personalities together, it’s automatically gonna be fun.  We visited many parks, shows, entertainment and shopping for the girls, but the highlight of the trip was hanging out at the Woodwards‘ residence.  A special thanks again to Orrin & Laurie for setting this up with our teams.

Here is a nice picture of the whole gang together;

And with that, Kaleb just woke up, time to feed & play!!

Love you guys,

Joce & Cynthia

2011 is gone, bring on 2012!

Hi everyone,

I hope your Christmas & New Year celebrations with family & friends were as fun as ours was.  Over the past couple weeks we’ve had alot of down time and relaxing days.  I was able to really think hard about 2011.  Cynthia & I were blessed with a wonderful year.  I personally wrote a long thank you letter to my mentor & best friends Claude & Lana Hamilton.  I’ve read many books where the author suggests to write a thank you letter to people who have helped you in your life.  I’ve been meaning to write one to them for the past couple years now and it never got done for some reason.  But finally, I did it and I feel good about it.

First off, Claude is a founder of LIFE which launched on November 1st, 2011.  This was by far the highlight of the year.  With the help of Orrin Woodward & Chris Brady and the rest of the TEAM Policy Council leaders, LIFE is the fix to the Networking Industry that people have been waiting for.  For me personally, I am excited about tackling 2012 with our new business model.

Another blessing this year was the birth of our first child, Kaleb Dionne on July 31, 2011.  What this little bundle of joy brings to our home is incredible.  Every morning is exciting for us now, from his first burp to his first solid food meal, everything is fun!

This summer was a memorable one.  On June 8th, 2011, I worked my last day as an employee.  With our business moving forward very nicely and our finances lining up the way we wanted it, Cynthia & I made a decison that I could come home to be a “full time dad” and we could both enjoy our time together as parents.

I want to finish with this.  Christmas 2011, we fulfilled a long time dream of ours.  My mom & dad (Paul & Murielle) and Cynthia’s mom (Stella) have been amazing for us.  Not just in recent years, but our whole lives.  Cynthia & I both set the goal many years ago to reward our parents with a nice family trip.  Christmas 2011 was our best ever, we were able to “give” to those we love most without having the financial stress on our shoulders.  We surprised both our parents with a cruise to the caribbean.  The opening of the gift was a bit different, we wanted them to play a little guessing game!  So, Cynthia took out her “slideshow” skills and built the most amazing videos.  Our parents would open up a gift that had a note that read “watch the video that Joce is going to play on TV and guess what your gift is” … FUN!  The slideshow then had messages and pictures dating back when we were young kids and how amazing parents they have been for us etc. And then at the end, they got the big SURPRISE!

Here is the slideshow we showed my mom & dad;

Surprise cruise gift to Joce’s parents (click on link to view) & Joce’s parents reaction to cruise gift.

Now here is the slideshow we showed to Cynthia’s mom;

Surprise cruise gift to Cynthia’s mom & Cynthia’s mom’s reaction.

A special thank you goes out to Claude & Lana Hamilton and Orrin & Laurie Woodward, without you guys, this would have never happened.

It’s easy to see that 2011 was by far the best year of our lives.  Now it’s time to turn the page and make 2012 even better.  In 2012, we have many friends that have set similar goals and we want to help them accomplish those goals.  Have fun, Make money, Make a difference!!!

God bless.

Love, Joce & Cynthia

Wisconsin LIFE Team is an amazing group of people

Hi everyone,

Orrin Woodward was on fire Saturday night (Nov. 5th) in Madison Wisconsin!  Cynthia & I had the honour to be speaking at the Team Seminar in Madison, along with LIFE co-founder Orrin Woodward.  The best part of my weekend was to be backstage with 2 Policy Council members; Orrin & Dan Hawkins.

This was our third time in Wisconsin and the local people there never cease to amaze me.  From our hosts who drove use around, to the people in the crowd, it seems everyone is so friendly & welcoming.  That seminar location truly has something to brag about.  Their culture is one of the best accross the whole team.  As my friend Claude Hamilton says, “the leaders build the culture and then the culture builds the team”.  Well… George Guzzardo & Dan Hawkins, you’ve built a great culture over there, my hat’s off to you guys!

One of Orrin’s talks was about Chapter 5 of his new book “RESOLVED” (which I’m currently reading and loving!)  in which he talked about successful people.  One example that got my attention was about Baseball Hall of Fame member, Ozzie Smith.  “Success is disguised as hard work” said Orrin.  Ozzie Smith is a perfect example of this, as a boy he would play baseball with kids in his neighborhood and once the game was over, he’d go home and practice for hours.  I guess, he would throw a tennis ball against a brick wall and field that ball over & over to the point where he would get closer to the wall and even throw the ball harder & harder.  Ozzie Smith, never saw this as “practice” he said it was fun to him, that’s why he could practice over & over again.  He is quoted as saying “make your work a game!”

Are you making your work a game?  We all know that work is in all of our futures. As Orrin said Saturday, “Success is disguised as hard work”.  However, many of us don’t like the work, we just want the results. Let’s be honest, we cannot get the results without the work.  Therefore, why not “make our work a game” just as Ozzie Smith did!

Bye for now,

Joce Dionne

LIFE: launched in Columbus, Ohio

Orrin Woodward & Chris Brady are men to be followed.  I just got back from Columbus Ohio, where the TEAM Leadership held a Major Leadership Convention and launched a new business called LIFE.  It’s late Sunday night and one would think after flying all day you’d be tired.  Not this time!

The LIFE business is 10+ years of dreaming, planning and perfecting by the TEAM’s policy council and finally becoming reality.  This is a whole new industry being created and I can say “I was there when we launched the LIFE business”.

November 1st, 2011 is the official opening date in the U.S. and here in Canada we are hoping it’s the same date or a few days later.  LIFE’s product is: changed lives.  LIFE educates any individual who is looking to improve in 8 different areas of their lives, we call it the 8F’s; Family Faith Finances Fitness Friends Freedom Following & Fun.  Through an educational subscription of books, audios or seminars people can improve their lives in any of the F’s they prefer.

I love this story entitled “If I had only changed myself first”;

When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser and realized the world would not change I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country: but it too seemed immovable. As I grew into my twilight years I settled on changing only my family and those closest to me, but alas they would have none of it. Now as I lay on my deathbed and I suddenly realize that if I had only changed myself first, then by example I could perhaps have changed my family, and from their inspiration and encouragement to me I would have been better able to help my country and from there I may even have been able to change the world.

I find this story humbles everyone who reads it, we realize that life experience or wisdom is priceless.  For example, I remember being a teenager and having disagreements with my parents, really believing that they weren’t comprehensive with me at all and I would get mad at them.  But, fast forward 10 years, in my mid-twenties, I came to realize that those decisions my parents made were maybe not the “popular ones, but the “right” ones for my future.  Therefore, in those 10 years, I gained “life experience” which helped me gain more wisdom and knowledge.  This is just one example of how wisdom & life experiences are priceless, what if there was a way to help people gain wisdom faster??? ….wait, there is, it’s the LIFE business or .ca in Canada.

On my personal development journey over the past 8 years, I’ve come to realize many things about myself and the human brain.  We all need to continually be learning and changing, unfortunately many people think they have “arrived” and don’t need to learn & change anymore.  They’ve almost given up on their life and are just going through the motions.  The day we stop learning is the day we stop growing!  The great thing about the LIFE business is that if you participate, you can be rewarded in 3 different ways; #1 you personally grow in the 8 Fs, #2 you help others grow in the 8Fs & #3 you are financially rewarded for helping people grow in the 8Fs.

Goodnight & God bless,

Joce Dionne
